Preview
Last year it took a throw of 135 feet to win. This year the talented freshman Sophia Rivera has thrown 134-7. At her best, she is the favorite to take not only this title but also the Shot Put. A senior, Vanessa Cook is looking to make the most to her final trip to Dwight T. Reed as she is returning form a 6th place finish a year ago. Their throws from sectionals are only five feet apart from each other, showing this could be a close one.
