Preview
A couple of winners headline this field – Sara Rhine and Sydney Deeken. While neither have won the long jump, the two have four gold medals with Deeken receiving four over the last two years. Three of them come from the high jump, Deeken with two golds in that event. Deeken also added a triple jump gold in 2012. This event it promises to be a close one with the top five seeds from sectionals coming within two inches of each other. Deeken claims the top mark from throughout the season, 18-4.5 Mills, who is seeded second, is also ranked second, jumping 18-4 earlier in the season at districts. Rhine and Mills has the top seed, 17-7.5 at sectionals. Also in the mix are Daiwa Emmert and Shelby Ridenhour as both were not far behind the girls previously mentioned.
