Preview
Just two inches shy a year ago, Malik Ray comes in as the favorite. He cleared 6-9, an inch better than his best from 2012. It also gives him a two inch cushion on the next athletes. Garrett Metscher, Republic, cleared 6-7 which ranks him second in Class 4 behind Ray. However, Ray only cleared 6-6 which gives Metscher the top seed. Two more guys in the field come in clearing 6-6 this year. One o them, Chase Riley, is only a freshman. The West Plains frosh came in second at sectionals behind Metscher. The other competitor at 6-6 is Nathan Voss. Voss just missed medaling last year in Class 3.
