Class 4 District Previews

Class 4 District 1

Girls: Seniors Chelsea Drum and Charlie Knott are favorites to lead Jackson to a Class 4 District 1 Team Title. Several other teams will have to battle and to try to advance to sectionals.

Boys: Hillsboro's Aaron Dugan, Oakville's Bailey Griffin, and Ryan Parson of Farmington look to capture the the District 4 Individual Title. On paper, District 4 looks as if it could be an epic battle between six different teams. What a fun race to watch.

Class 4 District 2

Girls: Anna West and her Lady Lancers will most likeley dominate Class 4 District 2 on Saturday. Five to Six other really good teams will vie to continue their 2015 XC Season.

Boys: Could we see a 15-point performance from the Lancers? Of course it will be fun to watch Lafayette, the fifth ranked team in the country run, but there are some other really good runners and teams besides in District 3. Not many points will separate the 2nd-6th teams.

Class 4 District 3

Girls: Teammates Sloane Montgomery and Erin Smith of Nerinx Hall are favored to win District 3. Who else will advance out of this district?

Boys: Dustin Davidson and Saint Louis University High are both favored to win District 3's Individual and Team title respectfully.

Class 4 District 4

Girls: Holt's Emily and Nicole Griesenhaur along with Hickman's Gemma Saathoff look to be the head of the class in District 4. Will Emily and Nicole lead Holt High School to a District Title?

Boys: Only 22 seconds separate the top five individual runners' best time in 2015. Which one will win the District 3 Individual Crown. Rock Bridge looks to be the team favorite going into Saturday. Who else will move onto sectionals next week?

Class 4 District 5

Girls: Again 22 seconds separates the top 7 individual in District 5. West Plains girls look to be the favorite. Only 25 points in the Virtual Meet separates teams 2nd through 5th. This will be a great race to watch.

Boys: Kickapoo's Nathan Hall has had a great 2015 season and he will be the favorite to win District 5. West Plains great pack running has them as the team to beat.

Class 4 District 6

Girls: Lee's Summit Wests's Alex Marco and Ray-Pec's Jamison Wharton will look to capture the District 6 individual Crown on Saturday. Marco's and Wharton's team are in a neck and neck battle to the finish first as well. What a battle between individuals and teams.

Boys: Webb City's Bristol Hargis and Republic's Phillip Canfield will once again face off in a big race. On the team side Webb City is a slight favorite to win. District 6 could be the place to be on Saturday for both boys' and girls' races.

Class 4 District 7

Girls: District 7 will be a battle of youth on the girls side. The top 5 Girls are sophomores and freshmen. Blue Springs South's Tori Findley is a solid favorite to come out victorious on the individual side. On the team side, both Blue Springs South and Blue Springs have a chance to win the District 7 crown.

Boys: Blue Springs' duo of Cody Berry and Victor Mugeche will be looking to lead Blue Springs to an individual and team title Saturday.

Class 4 District 8

Girls: Winnetonka's Emma Evans and Central's (St. Joseph) Paityn Howat will do battle in District 8 on Saturday. Only two points separate the the top 2 teams on the girls side.

Boys: Kearney's Clayton Adams is the heavy favorite to win District 8. The team title could turn out to be a fierce battle among five different teams.
