8. Calli Beshore - Nevada, SO

PR - 11:43.46

Beshore ran the 1600 at the state meet her freshman year after running between 5:19 and 5:21 3 times at conference, district, and sectional. But she falls into our 3200m rankings, too, because of her 11:43.46 best. She was under 12:00 all four times she ran the 3200 in her first track campaign and is very quietly one of the top members of the Class of 2020 on the track. Beshore went 19:36 this past cross country season and was unable to finish at this year's state meet after finishing 21st as a freshman. We expect a bounceback this season and to see Beshore go home with multiple all-state medals.

7. Riley Schelp - Lutheran South, SR

PR - 11:16.02 (2015)

Now in her senior year, Schelp has been a fixture at the state meet throughout her illustrious career and looks to cap off her high school career with a bang. She was all-state in the 1600 (7th) and 3200 (6th) last year while also taking 10th in the 800. Her 11:16 from her sophomore year is one of the fastest returning times in the state overall, but last year's 11:37 has her at 7th for the time being. Schelp has 7 overall state medals in her career and has had a strong career with personal bests of 2:19, 5:07, and 11:16 heading into the 2018 campaign.
