Pre-Season Rankings: Class 3 3200m

6. Emily Enghauser - Herculaneum, JR

PR - 12:03.31

Enghauser made a big push at the end of this cross country season, taking second in the super-competitive Class 3 District 1 and then 5th at the Class 3 state meet, helping the Blackcats finish 2nd as a team. She returns to the track with a 3200 best of 12:03.31 and a 5:37 1600 best, qualifying for state and taking 10th in the 3200. Enghauser has shown she can take the heat of the spotlight and perform well regardless so she appears ready to grab an individual medal on the track after getting one in the 4x800 in 2017.

5. Alyssa Struemph - Fatima, JR

PR - 11:48.03

One of three Comets on this list, all three of the girls have already ran faster than the district plus standard and, if cross country season was any indication, it appears that they are not slowing anytime soon. Struemph was unable to get out in the 3200 last season, but she has experience at the state track meet with two 4x800 and two 1600 medals to her name. She has run 5:24 to go along with her 11:48. She also is one of five girls in Sectional 3 on this list.
