Competing in both the Championship Division of the 60mH and the Emerging Elite Division of the Long Jump, Chris McKinzy had a pretty solid weekend in New York. The Ray-Pec Junior ran 8.22 in the 60mH which was good enough for 30th overall. His Long Jump of 21-1.25 was also good enough for the 13th in the Emerging Elite Division. He had some better performances in the beginning of the Indoor season, but he looks to be in a strong position heading into outdoor.
In the Emerging Elite Boys High Jump Branson's Britt Pierce placed 17th with a jump of 6-01.25. However, the day before he jumped 6-3.25 at the USATF Hershey National Indoor Meet which was good enough for third. It would seem Britt is in a good position for outdoor coming into the season just below his PR of 6-4.
Allison Kruger had a HUGE weekend on the east coast. Not only did she run a 5:16.34 Mile which was good enough for 7th at NBNI, but she also won the 3000m the day before at the USATF Hershey Indoor National Meet with a time of 10:32.93. Did I mention she's still in 8th grade? She will be force to be reckoned with upon entering high school next year, so be sure to remember her name.
