It's time to vote for the Missouri Girls Performer Of The Week! This is the 6th edition for the 2024 track and field season.
Congrats to last week's winner, Caterina Rossomanno from Rockwood Summit. She had 59% of the votes to win. The Falcons got three first-place finishes from the junior at the Orchard Farm Varsity Invite on April 19. In just her 3rd individual race of the season, she won the 1,600-meter in a state #22, 5:15.26 and Class 4 #7 -- a personal best -- and was on the winning 4x400- and 4x800-meter relays.

The junior won the 2,00-meter steeplechase race at the SBU High School Invitational on April 22 in the Class 4-5 division. She had a time of 8:05.61 -- a 10-second margin of victory. She dropped nearly 40 seconds off her time from last year in the same race.

The Kentucky pledge won the 100-meter dash in 11.58 and the 400-meter dash in 54.29 at the Dale Collier Invitational at Kirkwood on April 27. She also won the 400-meter dash in 54.29. Both of those times are the top in the state in the race and she is the fastest in the 100, 200 and 400.
An all-state last year in her first year throwing javelin, the senior set a new personal record in the event with a throw of 41.12 meters at the SEMO Conference meet on April 27. That allowed her to win her first conference title.
Addyson Schlake, Platte County
Competing at the Platte County Invitational on April 26, the senior threw a career-best 10.46 meters to win the shot put event. She also won the discus with a throw of 36.82 and was fourth in the high jump.
