KC Suburban Gold
It was a little overcast in Kansas City this weekend, but that didn't stop the State's toughest conference from having an excellent showing. Senior Gabe McClain of Blue Springs won the boys race with a new PR of 15:56, around 15 seconds over Jimmy Dietrich and Dillon Grover (16:10 and 16:11). Lee's Summit West just pulled out the team title in a very close 44-46 contest over Ray-Pec. Check out the interview with Gabe McClain below.
The girls race was super competitive with 6 girls running sub 19:00. Ginger Murnieks was the best of those sub 19's running 18:12 on her way to the conference title. She was followed by Tessa Valdivia with an 18:28, then the Ray-Pec Triumvirate of Miranda Dick (18:32), Mackenzie Stucker (18:38), and Marissa Dick (18:41).
