What was the funniest thing that happened during your running career?

Eating taco bell the night before one of my races my freshman year.

What was your most memorable race/moment?

Going sub 5 in the 1600m

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

    Myself

    What was your greatest accomplishment?

Going sub 18 my sophomore year

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

I would focus more on recovery so that I don't get injured.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

During the start of my sophomore track season, I got Osgood Schlatter on both sides and couldn't compete that season. My training was limited until junior year track when I fully recovered.

What will you miss the most?

The bus rides home from the meets

What advice would you give to younger athletes?

The earlier you start putting in the work, the better.

What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

My coaches have taught me that sometimes in life, I just have to suck up the pain and do the work in order to get desirable results.

    What are your college plans?

I am going to Loyola Chicago to study finance. I plan to join their running and triathlon club.

Who would you like to say 'thank you' to?

My parents, for not getting mad when my alarm to go running wakes them up in the morning.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

The mental toughness from XC and track have helped me in other areas of life. After running, all the other tasks I have to do seem ten times easier.
