Class 2 Seniors to Look Out For in 2019

Kendall Haller (Fatima)

She is the reigning Class 2 Individual State XC Champion, and also helped lead Fatima to the team title last year as well. She had medaled in each of her first three seasons, finishing 5th in 2016 and 3rd in 2017. A cool little tidbit is that she has combined with her older sister Brianna Haller to win the last five Class 2 State Titles, and she'll look to make it six this season. Kendall also enjoyed success on the track this Spring, earning a State Medal in the 3200m with a 5th place finish.

Alexis Fischer (Fatima)

Another member of the very strong Fatima squad, Alexis will look to help her team to defend their title in 2019. She's a three time XC State Medalist, finishing 7th last year, 25th in in 2017, and 19th in 2016. She is one of only four returners in Class 2 to have ran sub 20 last season, and she'll look to keep improving in her final season.

Kennedy Thies (East Carter)

As another three time All-Stater, Kennedy will try to make it four in a row this season. Last season saw her best finish as she placed 9th, and she was 22nd & 20th in 2017 and 2016. She has been very consistent over her high school career and should be up front at Gans Creek in November.

Kolin Overstreet (Lamar)

He's the Defending Class 2 State Champion, and will try to defend his title in 2019. He's been All-State in each of his first three seasons with a 7th place finish in 2016, and he was 5th in 2017 as well to go along with his State Title. He earned himself another State Championship in Track this Spring, as he was the Class 3 3200m State Champion, and he placed 3rd in the 1600m as well.

Malik Stewart (Maplewood-Richmond Hts)

Stewart was last year's State Runner Up, making it back to back years of second place State finishes and he'll look to challenge for the State Title in 2019. He is coming off of a very successful track season as well, as he was the Class 3 State Champion in the 800m, and was the Runner Up in the 1600m.

Nathan Frazee (Clark County)

The three time XC All-Stater will go for his forth State Medal after a 5th place finish last year to go along with his 6th place finish in 2016, 12th place finish in 2017. He had a lot of success on the track this Spring as well, earning himself a State Championship in the Class 2 3200m, and was the 4th place finisher in the Class 2 1600m.
