Her winning time of 17:55 from the Bowling Green Invitational was the fourth-fastest time in Missouri this season, and the fourth-fastest time run by a freshman in state history.

VS.

Amelia Arrieta (St. Teresa's)

Seemingly coming out of nowhere Arrietta had one of the more interesting stories to come out of 2021. In her first year of cross country, she racked up four wins including the Gans Creek course record with a 17:24 at the Gans Creek Class. Her 17:24 was the fastest time in Missouri this season and the eighth fastest all-time in state history.
