This week's nominees are ...

Gracie Jacobs, St. Teresa's Academy

Jacobs took first place in the Kris Solberg Invitational at Lee's Summit North on Sept. 17, running the 5K in 19:14. She helped the Stars take second place overall.

Ilene LimbergOwensville

The sophomore took second place in the Gold Division at the MSSU Southern Stampede, held in Joplin. She ran 19:44.65.

Lauren EftinkNotre Dame Cape Girardeau

Eftink won the Cape Girardeau Central XC Invitational in 19:51 for a 17-second win over Class 4 All-Stater Tegan Bishop of Perryville.


Natalie Barnard, Lafayette (Wildwood)

Barnard won the Festus Bowles Invitational in 19:17 to lead a Barnard Family 1-2 finish and lead the Lancers to an easy victory with just 39 points.

Riley Bryan, Smithton

The senior won the girls Sedalia Smith-Cotton SCXC Invitational 5k in 18:28.40, for a 3:25 margin of victory
