Another edition of the signing day recap focuses on Missouri State,
which loaded up on in-state talent for the Class of 2023.
The most recent signing is Ella Conklin from Park Hill South in Riverside. She will be a track and cross country runner for the Bears.
Conklin was a three-time Class 5 cross country state qualifier and has qualified for the track state finals the past two years in the 800.
Britta Foust from Liberty and Riley Bryan from Smithton are other cross country/track and field signees.
Foust is a three-time state qualifier and went to the state in the 3,200-meter last year.
Bryan is headed to Springfield on the heels of back-to-back cross country titles. She won the Class 2 XC meet this year and was the Class 1 champion the year before.
Bryan was the runner-up in the Class 1 XC finals in 2020.
She had four total medals in track and field and was the state champion in the 3,200 in Class 1 in 2021.
Olivia Rogers is a sprinter for North Platte and will do track for the Bears. She won the 100- and 200-meter dash finals in MSHSAA Class 2 Track this past spring and was an AAU Junior Olympics Games qualifier in that event as well.
Linzy Williams, from Francis Howell, is a jumper signing with the Bears. She won the GAC South Championship in high jump last year by clearing 5 feet, 3 inches.
She was fourth in the Class 5 championships in high jump in 2021. She has also competed long jump and javelin for the Vikings.
Other Signings
Two MIAA Conference schools added Missouri athletes.
Pittsburg State, in Pittsburg, Kansas, signed Jefferson City Helias Catholic's Mikah Edwards.
She was a third-place finisher in the 200-and 400-meter dashes MSHSAA Class 4 championships this past spring. Earned all-state honors in the 100, 200 and 400 in 2021.
Keaton Stone, for Maryville, will head to Central Missouri. He was an all-stater in long jump and triple jump in Class 3 this past spring.
