Raytown South standout Zaya Akins made her college decision on Monday, Jan. 3, picking the University of Kentucky.
She chose the Southeastern Conference school over two other SEC schools: Georgia and Florida. Akins made the announcement at her high school by opening up a cupcake to reveal the colors of the Wildcats.
That ends the recruitment of one of the fastest runners in the Show-Me State.
