Day one of the Class 3-5 MSHSAA State Track and Field Championship is in the books with a number of state-record-setting performances on the board.
Joshua Manning of Lee's Summit, Natalie Barnard of Lafayette Wildwood, Nixa's Jackson Cantwell and the Lafayette Wildwood's girls 4x800-meter relay all broke state records.
We will do a quick run-through of the standings but with so many events left on Saturday, it is still wide open in most of the classes.
