Congrats to the last poll winner Elyse Wilmes of Father Tolton Catholic, who had 69% of the votes. She broke a pair of MSHSAA Class 2 records at the state championships in the 800-meter (4:54.98) to break a mark that stood since 2014 and then her 2:10.48 in the 800-meter broke a mark that has stood since 1993.

Josephine Portell, Parkway South
The sophomore won the 100-, 200-, 400- and 800-meter para events for the Patriots at the MSHSAA Class 5 state track and field meet.
A versatile athlete for the Mustangs, she won the 800- and 1,600-meter runs and the 300-meter hurdles and was third in the triple jump in the MSHSAA Class 3 finals last weekend.
Kyndall Spain, Cardinal Ritter
She won the 300-meter hurdles in Class 5 and was on the winning 4x400-meter relay and took second in the 100-meter hurdles at the state meet this weekend.
Picked up state championships in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the 100- and 300-meter hurdles at the MSHSAA Class 4 meet this weekend in Jefferson City.
