Kennett sophomore William Gaines-Parker looks ahead in frustration as the baton bounces off the track after the Indians weren't able to successfully pass the stick in the Class 3 Boys 4x100-meter relay. Kennett was one of two teams to not finish the preliminaries. Gains-Parker went on to win the individual title in the 200-meter dash.

Lamar junior Trace Wooldridge hangs in the air as the launches the shot in the Class 3 Boys Shot Put. Wooldridge's first toss of 16.77m/55-0.25, which put him in the lead most the competition. Pembroke Hill's Darin Conley earned the same mark on his 6th and final throw. On the tie-breaker, determined by the 2nd best throw by the athletes, Wooldridge won with his only other fair toss of 16.27m/53-4.5. Conley's. That was more than 16-inches better than Conley's 2nd-best throw.
