POLL: Who was the Missouri Boys XC Runner of the Week?


The cross-country season is officially underway and with a new season comes new standout performances. 

Below are the top performances from the past week around Missouri. The winner will be crowned the Missouri Boy's Runner of the Week for Aug. 27 - Sept. 3.

Polling starts on Monday at 7 p.m. CT and ends on Friday at 12 p.m.

Aaron Ashley, Nixa
The junior ran almost 40 seconds faster this year at the SWCCCA Richard Clark Invitational and brought home first place on Saturday, running 15:31.15. He helped Nixa win the team title too.

Porter Johnson, Perryville
The Pirates picked up the program's first-ever win in the program's 7th year with a win at the St. Vincent Invitational on Wednesday. The junior led the way by placing fifth, one of four Pirates in the top 10.

Andrew Hauser, Rock Bridge (Columbia) The senior picked up first place at the Memphis Twilight XC Classic on Saturday, running 15:16.95 to open his 2023 season. It was his eighth career win in a cross-country race during the MSHSAA-sanctioned season.

Andrew Johnson, Platte County In the Gold Division of the Tim Nixon Invitational on Saturday in Liberty, he ran 15:05.60, 26 seconds faster than the runner-up. It was a new 5K personal record for the senior for the Class 4 all-stater.
