POLL: Missouri Girls XC Runner of the Week (Sept. 25-Oct. 1)


The cross-country is in full swing season and the times across the state are showing that. 

Below are the top girls performances from the past week around Missouri. The winner will be crowned the Missouri Girls Runner of the Week for Sept. 25 - Oct. 1.

Polling starts on Monday, Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. CT and ends on Thursday at 12 p.m.

Allison Miller, Mehlville
Miller ran 22:24 and beat teammate Kayla Barrett to win the Perryville Invitational on Sept. 26 to post her first varsity win. The 1-2 showing helped the Panthers win the team title.

Gracie Troester, Republic
The junior picked up two victories this week, winning the 11th Annual Republic XC Invitational on Sept. 26 and then the Laker Invitational on Saturday, breaking the 19-minute mark.

Madison Cross, Lee's Summit West
The junior joined teammate Eva Garlich to help the Titans finish 1-2 at the Riann Lubinski Invitational in Nixa on Sept. 30. Cross ran 20:08.10, winning by less than a second ahead of her teammate.

Zoe Martonfi, Eldon
The returning all-stater cleared the 20-minute mark (19:49.31) at the Moberly XC Invitational on Thursday, winning by nearly 30 seconds. It was the third straight win this season for Martonfi.
