Missouri Girls Performer Of The Week (March 25-30)

It's time to vote for the Missouri Girls Performer Of The Week! This is the second edition for the 2024 track and field season, following the first full week of competition.

Taylor HopperNixa 

The junior broke the school record in the 200-meter dash on Thursday at the Branson Invitational with a MO #20 and Class 5 #8 time of 26.12, which also earned her first place. The previous school record was 26.20.


Callie McWilliamsSouth Shelby 

The junior broke her own school record in the triple jump in her first attempt in the event this season on Thursday, jumping a MO #3 11.32 meters/37-1.75 on Thursday at the Monroe City Invitational. The 2023 Class 2 State bronze medalist, McWilliams mark puts her atop the 2024 Class 2 performance list by nearly 2 feet.


]McKenah SearsGrain Valley 

The senior, coming off a knee injury, set a new school record at the Rusty Hodge Invitational on Thursday in Blue Springs with a throw of 45.97 meters (150-9) -- the best throw in the state this year and No. 8 in the country. She previously held the record with a throw of 43.96. The mark also moved Sears to 8th on the MileSplit, Missouri All-Time Performance List


Maddie SteigerLiberty North 

The senior had a throw of 39 feet, 4 inches (12 meters) to break the school record on Saturday at the Shawnee Mission South Relays held in Overland Park, Kan. The mark is a MO #11 and Class 5 #4 toss.
