The first step in the MSHSAA postseason for Class 4 and 5 schools happened on Saturday.
The top four qualifiers in each event moved onto the sectional meet this week. Perhaps the biggest news coming out of Saturday was another record-setting throw by Jackson Cantwell. The Nixa sophomore re-broke his record in the shot put with a throw of 22.80 meters/74-9 3/4. You can watch from Scott Puryear.
