The final State Series tuneup week is behind us with some very fast performances from around the state.
Below are the top girls performances from the past week around Missouri. The winner will be crowned the Missouri Girls Runner of the Week for Week Eight.
Congratulations to Blue Springs' Tavia Briles on her win in the Week 7 poll! Briles' breakout season continues as she dropped under 19:00 for the first time at the KC Suburban Gold Conference. She was fourth overall in her new personal best of 18:56.10.She will move on to the finals next week during the week of the State Championships, where we will determine who had the top performance of the regular season!

Jocelyn Haynes - Troy Buchanan - Haynes, coming back from an early-season injury, picked up her first career victory of her already illustrious career. Her 19:15.67 at the Bowling Green Invitational was a big season best and is pushing her closer to her third all-state medal in three tries.
Frances Applegate - MICDS - Applegate won the Metro League Conference on Thursday in a season best of 19:18.29, 2 seconds faster than her mark on the blazing fast Lavern Gibson course. She is trending toward the 18:56.90 mark she ran at the State meet last year.
Myla Schrimsher - Doniphan - Schrimsher had a massive personal best en route to her victory at the inaugural Ozark Foothills Conference meet on Wednesday. The sophomore jumped from 22:32.00 to 20:17.20 on a very fast day.
Ilene Limberg - Owensville - Limberg won her third meet in a row at the Four Rivers Conference Championships on Tuesday. She ran 19:37.61 for her first conference victory since her freshman year.
