Cameron Miller (West Plains) broke through with a 10.48 100m, putting him first in Class 4 and second among all MO straight-line sprinters. He is also now the top sophomore in the state in this event after improving from 10.95 as a freshman. Miller won the event at Waynesville HS Open on Thursday.
Lola Kensinger (Ozark) broke through with a 43.48m (142-7.75) javelin throw, jumping up to #1 in the state. The mark improves on Kensinger's previous best of 39.81m (130-7.25) and helped the sophomore win the event at Harry Lineberry Open House on Friday. Kensinger is quickly become one of the rising young stars in the javelin in Missouri.
Chase Collins (Ft. Zumwalt West) ran 9:55.30 in the 3200m to win his home invitational on Saturday. It was a 43-second personal best, down from 10:38.64 last season, and better than the 3200 time equivalent to his 5K personal best of 16:55.50 (10:34).
