We continue our look at the top 100 marks in the outdoor track and field season with the boys throwing events -- javelin, shot put and discus.
The top marks this spring come from various classes -- 1, 4 and 5. A good measuring mark to show you don't have to be in Class 5 to be an elite thrower -- as seen by Knox County's javelin thrower Jennifer Hinkle in Class 1.
Class 5's Makenzie Garr from St. Joseph Central had the top throw in shot put and was No. 3 in discus. Pleasant Hill's Reagan Kimrey had the top mark in the discus and second in shot put. She won state titles in both events this year at the MSHSAA Class 4 finals.
