Before each of the two State championship weekends, we made some championship predictions and compared them to popular instagram page RunningStats. We also compiled the results from our fan poll many of you submitted to add a third party. Each correct response received a point, including correct responses on team places. If a team was correctly selected, but incorrectly placed, a half-point was earned. So how did we do?

Running Stats did the best in the Class 2 Girls competition, correctly picking 13 of the 19 winners and all 4 of the team trophy earners in order. This was the best round of anyone's. My best score of 16.5 came in the Class 4 Boys race, though many of the top athletes made it easy. Gage Hale, Patrick Slack and Poplar Bluff's relays, and Festus and Carson Driemeier, among others, all pushed my total up there. The fans' best score of 13.5 came in the Class 2 Girls division.
