This year all proceeds will go towards the building of a much needed regulation sized track at Borgia High School. The current track at Borgia is 6 lanes, asphalt, and not even 400 meters around. It is a terrible surface to practice on day to day for the reason of injury. The workouts run at the track start at various cracks in the asphalt instead of actual painted markings on the track. With the new track there will hopefully be a Borgia Invitational Track Meet. I'm guessing it would be the first one in school history.
The race is NOT actually sponsored by Borgia or the YMCA, but they are helping out with the process of the race. Please help support building a better running community in the Washington, MO area by showing up on July 19th to race at 7:30 a.m. at the Big Driver Fun Run 2008.
