Jackson Junior High Invitational 2022

Date: Tuesday, September 6, 2022

Location: Jackson City Park, below lake levee (same location as last year)

     Course and race starting times could be altered due to extreme heat index or wet weather. 

Divisions: 7th grade boys and girls divisions and 8th grade boys and girls divisions

Race times/distances:

7th   boys            4:00 pm            1.5 miles   

7th   girls             4:25 pm            1.5 miles            

8th    boys           4:50 pm            1.5 miles

8th    girls            5:15 pm            1.5 miles

No formal awards ceremony will be held. Medals will be given at the finish line.

Coaches Meeting: 3:40 pm at the scoring pavilion

Awards: 25 individual medals for each division. 1st place plaque presented in all 4 divisions. 

Entry Fee: $80.00 per school (boys and girls) -  $10/individual 

Team Scores: Top 4 boys and top 4 girls in each division will be calculated for team scores.

Scoring/Timer : Our meet will be timed and scored by Missouri Running Company.

The start, finish, and 1 mile mark are all in close proximity, so times can be easily recorded. Spectators can see much of the race from the start/finish area, as runners pass through twice, in addition to the start and finish. 

The Start:   Starting positions will be drawn by each coach at the coaches meeting.  

                    A 5-minute gun will sound before the start of each race.  

Restrooms:   Located at the safety city pavilion area and next to the softball fields.

Bus Parking:  You may drop off runners, coolers, and tents, at the lower tennis court/pavilion area. 

             Your bus may then park at the pool parking lot.                         

T-Shirts: The Jackson Cross Country Parents Club will sell Invitational t-shirts for $15.

Concessions: A concession stand with a variety of snacks and drinks will be available.
