Here is the story and it will take a while. Lew Smith came to Parkway South about 26 years ago after being a GA at Southwest Missouri State. He took over a very new girls track program. His first track meeting drew only a few girls. He asked those girls for advice as to how he could bet more girls interested in track and field and what he needed to do to coach girls.
