ARCHIE R-V SCHOOL DISTRICT

To honor Miles Humbird, a valued member of the Archie High School community, football program, and track program, the Archie Invitational Track Meet is being renamed the Miles Humbird Memorial Track Meet.
In accordance with MSHSAA we will be using MileSplit to set up our meet. To enter athletes into events go to mo.milesplit.com. Entries are due Monday, March 31st, at 10:00 AM. Since we are allowing entries up to the morning of the meet, please make scratches prior to finalizing entries, it is most helpful. Each school is allowed one entry per relay and two entries in each individual event. Entry fees of $100 per gender or $10 per athlete will be collected on line through MoMileSplit.
NOTE: The meet is on Monday this year instead of Tuesday.
3:45 ~ COACHES' MEETING ~ Will be held in the shed behind the north end of the grandstand.
4:15 ~ FIELD EVENTS ~ Throws, Long and Triple Jumps will be 4 attempts with no finals. The horizontal jumps will be run Cafeteria Style with 45 minutes to finish their attempts. The Throws will be flighted. Boys and girls Pole Vault may be held concurrently.
4:45 ~ 4 X 800 m Relay ~ Girls followed by Boys (possibly together if less than 8 teams total)
~ TRACK EVENTS ~ No prelims, heats against time, fastest heat last, girls followed by boys.
FACILITIES
Dressing Facilities: NONE. Please come dressed for competition.
Track Facilities: 8 Lane International 400 meter all -weather track. NO TAPE is allowed on the track or runways! Chalk will be provided at each venue. Our shot put ring and discus ring are located north of the track. We also have bleachers at our throwing areas for spectators. The javelin area is southeast of the track near the baseball diamond. The track is fenced and only competitors and coaches are allowed inside the fence. NO TEAM CAMPS INSIDE THE FENCE.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
Spikes: 1/8 inch spikes only. Violators will be disqualified! Spikes are not to be worn in bleachers!!!
Timing: Our electronic timing system should be ready to use.
Starting Blocks: Provided.
Scoring: The scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.
Results: Will be available online at mo.milesplit.com as soon as we can upload it,
Medals: Will be awarded to the top three finishers.
Concessions: A concession stand will be open.
