Haller put all doubts to bed this fall when she shocked the Class 2 favorite and brought home her fourth straight state cross country championship. That Haller was even an underdog was subjective, but she had lost twice to Allie Gibbs and was over a minute slower on the year... Anyway, Haller silenced all of the haters and probably will not be an underdog this season as she returns as the reigning champion in both the 1600 and 3200. Two state cross champs will go toe-to-toe this spring in Class 3, but we give the edge to the 9-time title winner for the time being.
