Week 1 of the 2023 Missouri track & field season provided a stellar field to pick from for this week's Performer of the Week.

There was...

Hailey Harris, Hermitage -- She won the 100-meter hurdles in 19.65 seconds and the high jump in 4-1 1/4 during the Tiger Opener in Sedlia.

Sophia Powell, Sedalia Smith-Cotton -- The senior took first place in the 100-meter dash, winning by a full second and took first in the long jump with a distance of 15-8 1/4 in Sedalia.

Payten Krodinger, St. Pius X (Festus) -- The 2023 season started with wins in the 200-meter finals (28.19) and 400-meter dash (1:03.85) at the Potosi Trojan Invitational on March 17.

Angela Dobbins, Malden -The junior swept the sprints, winning the 100-meter dash (12.64) and 200-meter dash (26.34) at the Cape Girardeau Notre Dame Frozen Invitational on March 18.
