Preview

Back in March we wrote about 10 freshmen to watch out for. Behind only Taylor Werner was Sophia Rivera of Brentwood.  In her first meet she unleashed a put of 41-4.  It’s been a while since then and she has continued to impress in her first year of high school.  Her 42-4 is the top mark going into the State Meet.  Halee Cashio, 16th last year, has improved significantly since then and comes in with a best of 41-0, close behind Rivera. At sectionals she was topped by Katie Skelton who is returning from in eighth place finish in 2012.
