Preview

Not that they didn’t like Goodin, but I am sure that some people in Class 1 that were happy when Blake Goodin graduated.  After winning nearly everything for four year it is time for someone else to step up to the top spot on the podium.  I’m thinking this will be a three person race with a chance for more to join the pack.  I really do think it will be a toss-up between Dakota Shoemaker, Seth Brown, and Seth Schenck.  I think if it’s a slow, tactical race, Seth Schenck will come out on top as he has 2:01 speed. I think Shoemaker benefits from a fast, honest pace as he has run just over 10 minutes in the 3200, the Class 1 best. He is the top returner in this event as he finished third a year ago. Then there is Seth Brown, the top miler in Class 1 this year.  His 4:33.99 is only two tenths of a second faster than Shoemaker’s time.  If I had to pick a favorite I would go with Shoemaker, but I can see all three winning this event.
