Preview
Last year Kendra Perren gave it all she had but came up close by the smallest of margins, seven one thousandths of a second. She basically tied for first place. This year she is determined to add the gold medal that she was so close to in 2012. She ran 14.75 at the Kansas Relays which remains the top mark in Class 3 by a decent bit. Mackayla Waldner, only a freshman, is one to watch for. She comes in ranked second in Class 3, recording a time of 15.32 at the Jackson Invite all the way back in earl April. After just missing the finals, Joselyn Covington enters the state in a great spot, the second best seed. Her time of 15.49 was the second best time from sectionals.
