What was you most memorable meet or race?
Probably my 300 hurdles at this year's Suburban West Meet. I was sick and not feeling good, but I was still able to run my fastest time up until that point while also breaking the 30-year old conference record.
Who was your biggest competition?
Aaron Mallet for sure.
Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
I am most proud of the fact that I was able to run my 300 hurdles in under 38 seconds. Going into my senior year my goal was to do that, and it was a very rewarding feeling being able to actually accomplish it.
If you could do it all over again is there anything you would change?
Running in my school's 4x800 was alot of fun this year. If I could do things over, I would probably would have tried running in that race prior to senior year.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
I battled chronic shin splints all four years of my high school track career. It made it rough trying to train hard everyday, but by the end of senior year I had learned how to deal with them to keep them at bay.
What will you miss the most?
I will miss my track friends and coaches. I have alot of good memories thanks to them. They made it fun to come to practice and work hard each day.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
I would remind younger athletes to always keep an open mind when it comes to events that they run. I might never have tried hurdles had it not been suggested to me. Also, it's easier to get through a tough workout with the mindset that you can do anything. And hurdlers- learn how to hurdle with both legs.
What are your college plans?
I plan to attend the University of North Dakota where I am going to run the 400 hurdles.

I would like to thank all my Marquette coaches- Coach Wildt, Coach Morris, and Coach Nienhaus- because they designated so much of their time to helping me improve. I'd also like to especially thank Coach Franklin from Francis Howell. He's helped me in my track training ever since it started back in 8th grade. He helped mentor me all four years of high school and I really appreciate all of his help.
