What was you most memorable meet or race?
I would have to say the most memorable race for me was junior year state in cross country. I've had so many races in track that created so many heart moving memories, but that cross country race is where I found myself. I Found that I could push myself even further. I Felt that not only I was becoming stronger physically but mentally.
If you could do it all over again is there anything you would change?
I wouldnt change anything, every experience has shaped me into the person and the runner I am now!
What will you miss the most?
I will miss my coaches and my team that became my family on and and off the track
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
I've had to overcome was the fight within myself. There were times when I would begin to loose faith and have doubt in myself and my abilities. I had to learn to controll those feelings and repress negative thoughts that overwelmed me in certain situations.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
"Keep trying and never give up even if it seems like you're not getting anywhere." -Allyson Felix
What are your college plans?
I will be attending the University of Kansas in the fall. ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!
Who would you like to thank?
I would first like to thank God and my parents for without them I wouldnt be here today! They would love me even if I didnt have any legs. I'd like to give thanks to my coaches and teammates who help support me throughout my years of high school. I would also like to give a special thanks to my coach David Rogles, he's one of the best coaches I've ever had and I am very blessed to have had him as one!!
