Top 15 Girls
1. Hannah Long, Eureka – We’ve come to expect great things from this young lady but her senior season has been something special to watch. Not only is Hannah winning by wide margins, she’s setting new course records along the way. If you're a fan of the sport, you need to make your way to Oak Hills Golf Course to watch Hannah take on the state course one more time.
2. Taylor Werner, Ste. Genevieve - While Taylor has not produced as many eye popping times this season as Hannah, it is important to note this is someone who has advanced in both Nike and Foot Locker in previous seasons. Taylor is the favorite as she shoots for her 3rd consecutive Class 3 title on Saturday.
3. Sophia Racette, Nerinx Hall – Not only has Sophia had a fantastic senior season, it’s great to see her healthy as we approach the state meet.
4. Ann Campbell, St. Teresa’s Academy – She looked mighty impressive last weekend if defeating #5 Grace Klausen at the Section 4 meet.
5. Grace Klausen, Blue Springs South – 15 seconds back of Campbell on Saturday but the Jags were running tight as a team.
6. Mia Jerman, Ste Genevieve – 2nd or 3rd in all her races this year, but when your teammate is Taylor Werner….
7. Maddi Leigh, Francis Howell – Not sure what to make of Maddi’s 6th place finish at Sectionals, (it could be the goal was just to qualify) but this is someone who had finished 1st or 2nd in each race since mid-September.
