Runner's Journal Week 4 Charlie McInytre


Hi everyone! I hope your training and racing are going well. I'm going to start by going back a week and a half ago and talking about Chile Pepper. I was really excited going into it, but my legs just didn't have it that day. They just felt flat, but that happens to the best of us! I was excited to come back the next week and have a really good week training and come back that weekend and run a PR! I was super happy to run a decent time going into the championship portion of the season because it takes the chip off my shoulder of setting the school record. I finally got it after missing it by less than a second on two different occasions.

I am confident I am going to run faster as I start to peak and back off training, but still nice to run fast on not the freshest legs and fastest course this past weekend. I wish you all the best of luck with training and racing over the next month!
