5. Caleb Cornelius - Saxony Lutheran - JR: Cornelius is a competitor and it showed in 2016. He dropped over a full minute off his 5K between his freshman (18:05) and sophomore year (17:01) and went from 18th at the 2015 Class 2 District 1 meet to 1st in '16, and then 10th at the state meet. A fantastic sophomore year leap for Cornelius was met with continued success on the track as he turned in a 10:20 3200 PR for 5th at the Class 2 state track meet. Look for Cornelius to keep climbing the ladder as he eyes a top 5 finish this year.
