Girls Races

The contingent from Missouri was heavier in the Girls Championship, but lighter otherwise. Her teammate Danielle Hotalling ran another personal best to cap off her season. She was 24th in 18:18.8. Two other Missourians were sub-19:00 and they are also teammates as they junior duo of Miranda Dick and Mackenzie Stucker (Raymore-Peculiar) ran 18:51.5 (59th) and 18:59.0 (75th). The top Missouri team in the Championship race was Lee's Summit West's Titans XC Club as they averaged 19:33 and took 20th. Led by their three sophomores again, Addie Mathis was their first across the line this time in 19:14 with Madison Hulsey running 19:17 and McKenna Butler coming across in 19:28. Senior Jana Shawver was just behind Butler in 19:31. They were just one place ahead of BSS's SouthSide Cross Club who averaged 19:26 and two places ahead of Ray-Pec's Missouri Mud who averaged 19:43 on the day. Festus's EasyMoneyTigers were also present on the girls side and were led by Melissa Wolk in 20:14 and Allison Payne in 20:23.

Missouri was led in the open race by Washington junior Claire Ayers who took 11th in 19:30.6. South Nodaway run-away Class 1 state champ Ashley Riley lost her first race of the year, but she was still 18th out of 480 in this one in 19:36.1. Lafayette's Mollie Rogan was next across the line for MO, just ahead of Nerinx Hall's Bella Racette, as both girls were 31st and 32nd respectively in 19:46.4 and 19:46.8. Nerinx's Hall Markers squad was the top girls team in the Open Race as they took 7th with a 20:36 average. Webster Groves's Sole Sisters were the only others with 5 scorers from MO as they were 24th and led by Nicolette Schnettgoecke's 20:55.6.
