6. Lashunda Tapp - Park Hill, SO

Almost a full foot ahead of Sievers is the sophomore Lashunda Tapp. Tapp had a rough go in the shot at Sectional 4, but still put a 39-3.5 early on in her freshman campaign and was over 37 five other times, including a 38-3 mark at the conference meet. Though she was unable to make it on to state like the two before her, Tapp still has thrown well enough to warrant a 6th place ranking here.
5. Koby Tyler - Blue Springs, JR
PR - 39-3
Just barely behind Tapp in distance, Koby Tyler has handled her head-to-head all season, including at the sectional meet. Though Tyler fell short and took 5th, she has thrown over 38 and 39 more times than the girls previously listed and thus lands her in 5th on our preseason list. The Blue Springs junior qualified for the USATF Jr. Olympics after missing out on the state meet.
