Who Won This Week? Top Performances to Start the Season!

3. Chris McKinzy (Ray-Pec)

Another athlete who didn't seem to let the conditions at Festus effect him was Chris Mckinzy. His 110mH time of 14.77 is the best time in Missouri right now, and he will definitely improve by season's end. However, I'm just as impressed with his Long and Triple Jump Saturday. I can personally attest to the swamp that was the Long Jump area after two straight days of rain took its toll down there. The runway was the only place athletes could stand do avoid being in puddles, so staying warm for their jumps was nearly impossible. Despite this Chris was still able to jump 45-6.25 in triple and 21-5 in long which rank as 3rd and 6th in the state currently. Pretty solid start to the 2018 season for him.
