2019's Triple Jumpers to Watch in Classes 3-5

Class 5

There are 5 returning State Medalists in the Class 5 Girls Triple Jump with no clear favorite. Serena Williams and Carynton Marshall of Battle have the top returning jumps with a 39-2.5 and 39-5.5 respectively from the Great Southwest Classic. Tayte Kozlowski was the highest finisher last year at State placing second and has a PR of 38-3.75. This one should be one of the tighter contested events at State in the Spring.

Like the Girls, there's no clear favorite among the four returning State Medalists in the Class 5 Boys Triple Jump either. Devon Richardson of Lee's Summit North has the best returning jump with a 48-5, and placed 4th at State last year. However, Michael Jackson of Pattonville finished 2nd last year and hold a PR of 47-2.
