Mercedes Schroer (Christian)
She is the defending State Champion, and will look to defend her crown against a really talented field this Fall. Over the course of her career she has never finished worse than second place in her sixteen cross country races, picking up twelve wins. She picked up another State Title on the track this Spring, with a victory in the Class 3 3200m. She'll have to fend off one of the few runners to have ever beaten her, the 2017 State Champion Kylie Goldfarb in what has become a nice little rivalry.
Kylie Goldfarb (John Burroughs)
She was the State Champion in 2017, and was the runner up a year ago at the state meet. She'll look to regain her title from Mercedes Schroer this Fall. She had yet another dominate track season, picking up state titles in both the 800m and 1600m this Spring. She also has the fastest returning time in Class 3 with a personal best of 18:27.
Littleton had a break out season for Smithville last season, and walked away with a third place finish at the state meet. She dropped a whopping two and half minutes off her PR with an impressive 18:53 that she ran at Rim Rock. She picked up two state medals in track this season as well with a state championship in the Class 4 3200m, and a third place finish in the 1600m.
Macy Schelp (Lutheran South)
The Lutheran South Junior picked up her second straight state medal with a 4th place finish last year to improve upon her 25th place finish from 2017. In addition to the regular season, she went on to win the freshman/sophomore race at the Nike Midwest Regional Championships. She picked up two more state medals in track with a third place finish in the Class 3 1600m, and a forth place finish in the 800m.

Landon Hendrickson (Logan-Rogersville)
Henrickson picked up his first state medal in 2018, and will look to get back on the podium this Fall. Last year he placed 13th at State, which improved on his 30th place finish from 2017. He'll look to keep improving and try and climb into the top 10 this season.
Landon Fatino (Pleasant Hill)
The Pleasant Hill Junior comes into 2019 looking to climb higher on the podium at Gans Creek. Last season he was an All-Stater after placing 15th, which improved upon his freshman finish of 37th. Look for him to work towards a higher finish this season at the state meet.
