The Sectional 3 Meet will be at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO. This course is EXTREMELY fast, and this race could see the fastest times we've seen all season.

The girl race looks to be very interesting on the State Qualifier front. Class 4 No. 1 and District 6 Champion Lee's Summit West shouldn't have any trouble picking up the team title, as they haven't lost in Missouri all year long. The rest of the field however looks to be extremely tight. District 5 Champion West Plains will square off with St. Teresa's, Webb City, Ray-Pec, and Kickapoo for the State Qualifying spots. St. Teresa's, Webb City, and Ray-Pec were separated by a grand total of four combined points at the District 6 meet, and Kickapoo and West Plains have traded punches this year, so this race could really end in a bunch of different combinations.

Individually District 6 Champions and recent Pittsburg State commit Marisa Dick (Raymore-Peculiar) will have a rematch with Madison Hulsey (Lee's Summit West) and MaKayla Clark (Lee's Summit West). She'll also have to fend off District 5 Champion Klaire Brown (Kickapoo), Alicen Ashley (Nixa), and Mia Harris (West Plains).

The Boys race looks to be an intriguing match up.  District 6 Champions Raymore-Peculiar will match up with District 5 Champion Kickapoo, West Plains, Rockhurst, Webb City, and Lee's Summit West. I think Ray-Pec will be the favorite, but beyond that any of those teams could place anywhere from 2nd-6th place and I wouldn't be entirely surprised.

The race for the individual title looks like it'll be more about how fast the winner runs, than who the winner is. Wes Porter (Rockhurst) ran 15:29 at Ray-Pec this past week, and it's not outside the realm of possibility that he could potentially be sub 15:00 on Saturday at MSSU. Other key runners in the race will be Braden Zaner (Raymore-Peculiar), Haddon Spukereit (Webb City),  District 5 Champion Eros Sustaita (Nixa), and Brady Bauder (Kickapoo).
