Still the best
Sophomore Alexandra Volkart continued her dominance in the longest race of the weekend, winning the 3,200-meter run.
The Southern Boone County standout won the race in 11 minutes, 15.23 seconds and repeated as the champion. She added another all-state medal by taking fifth in the 1,600-meter run. Volkart's teammate and fellow sophomore Evan Mauney made it a 1-3 finish in the 3200-meters for the Eagles, a year after going 1-2 in last year's race.
