South Shelby sophomore Kamryn Mitchell puts one of the brand new hurdles to the test in the Class 2 Girls 300-meter hurdles, before they head to the school, in Shelbina in Northeast Missouri, after the 2022 state track meets. Mitchell tumbled and rolled over and nearly seamlessly rebounded to get back on her feet and finish strong. Mitchell finished 15th in the event, while earning All-State medals in the 100-hurdles (6th) and 4x800 (7th).

Brookfield senior Alex Sharp helps Marceline senior Gracey Jordan to the water cooler after their All-State finishes in the Class 2 800-meter run. The pair's schools are just 12-miles apart in North Central Missouri. Sharp, a Tulane University commit, finished an outstanding career with a 3rd-place finish in 2:23 while Jordan was 8th in 2:27.
