KEARNEY - The top two finishers in the girls' race of the Kearney
Invitational ran for the top two teams in the standings in the race
held on Oct. 8 at Jesse James Park.
St.
Teresa's Academy's Gracie Jacobs took first place in 18:55.40 to
claim the championship.
The
junior won her second race of the season, the first was on Sept. 17
at the Kris Solberg Invitational.
St.
Teresa's took second in the team standings with 55 points, with a
3:08 split between the top runner and the fifth runner.
Kearney
had two in the top 10 and won the team championship with 40 points.
All-Staters Alex Kinstler was the runner-up in 18:57.30 and Abby Elam
was eighth overall. Kearney had a 2:05 split between its top five
runners, with an average time of 20:20.
