Dora's Nold voted Class 1 top senior girls runner

Autumn Nold from Dora was the runaway winner from the fans voting for the Class 1 senior of the year.

She earned 66% of the votes garnered.

Nold took 13th place this past fall at the MSHSAA Class 1 XC Championships - her third straight year earning all-state accolades. She was 54th as a freshman and then took 21st in 2020 and then 20th in 2021.

This season she posted seven top-10 finishes for Dora.

Nold isn't a distance runner in the outdoor season though, instead, she is a sprinter. She was an all-stater in the 400-meter dash last spring while qualifying for state in the 100-meter dash.

The other nominees were Josie Villard of Christian, Andrea Riley from South Nodaway (Platte Valley), Maddie Homfeldt from Calvary Lutheran and Kendra Zeilstra of Brunswick.
